Our experience at Special Equestrians has always been positive.  From the first time our daughter, Tiyanna, rode a horse, she declared it to be “the best thing she’s ever done”.  Tiyanna looks forward to riding and it has been a big self esteem booster for her.  Learning a new skill and receiving so much positive affirmation in the learning process have made us so thankful for this great enriching place!  We are so appreciative of the kind instructors, especially Anne, and the hardworking volunteers.  Special Equestrians is a gift to Tiyanna and our family!

Our daughter, Courtney, has been riding at Special Equestrians for 6 years and loves coming every week.  She is unable to speak, but her eyes light up the moment we turn onto the gravel driveway.  We feel that the hippotherapy has helped her with her posture and balance.  She makes small improvements weekly, but over the years she has improved greatly.  She especially loves it when she gets to trot!  We appreciate the efforts of her instructors and aides who make us feel like part of the family.  Special Equestrians has always held a special part of our heart.  Mom was a volunteer years ago, when the program was small – not knowing that a few years later her daughter would be riding there too!  Thank you, Special Equestrians, for making our special angel a very special equestrian.
