One of the most
important elements of your site is a domain name. You should
decide on one as soon as possible. We can then put up a site with a temporary homepage
that will have the basics: An introductory statement, email links, address and phone
numbers. This way you can start making use of your site immediately.
Remember, many great names that are general terms are probably gone. So, be creative, and
try to make your name short, simple, easy to spell, and easy to remember.
.com is for commercial business and is the most recommended even for other types of
organizations.
.net is for networks
.org is for non profit organizations
.edu is for education institutions
Etc..
Please brainstorm and come up with at least 5 names you like, and we can see if
they are available. We can help suggest some as well.
We do not recommend using dashes or spaces, as this is not common practice.
The domain name costs $70 for the first two years and $35 per year after that. It will be
billed to you separately through the InterNic (Internet Governing Body)
Choose at least 5 potential domain names, in order of preference.

2.
Site Layout
Think of your site as a virtual
representation of your organization. Remember, it is not limited to standard printing demands, and
therefore, even if you wanted to keep the site simple, you can still add extended
information with ease.
One way to lay out a website is to view it like a flow chart. So think about what various
pages you'd like to see, starting with your Home Page

Lay out the pages you'd like to see in
your site.

3. Content and Design
Keeping consistent colors and style is
recommended. Using existing brochure colors and logo designs.
We can also do any kind of custom graphics you desire. Please check out our Site Design Tour. Many, such as
navigation components, buttons, and 3D text, will come standard with your site. But
we can also design custom logos and other graphics for you too.
We even access to over 1 Million clipart images. Use of this is convenient and
helps keep costs low.
Previously printed brochures, newsletters, and other marketing materials are a great
source of information for your site. Be sure to select material that is relevant to
your readers. Your Dynamite Site can be ideal for displaying information typically hard for your
customers or members to find. Consider looking at Web sites of competitors or similar
organizations to spark ideas.
You may have many departments, so be sure to gather all your contact
information, email address (we can create those if you need), phone numbers, fax numbers,
etc.
Acquire your brochures, letter head, logos, business cards,
and any written information you'd like to see on your site. With each page
idea put the content you want, the graphics, ideas, text.
